I need the heating pad!

My back has been hurting really bad for the past month, so I have been using a heating pad a lot. The first few times Ryan told me that she needed it, i thought it was pretty cute. Then she turned into a heating pad monster... If i get it out when she is awake, she actually cries (real tears)to use it and if I say that i need it, she cries "my back is hurting, i need to use the heating pad" over and over again.

Belated Christmas Post

I know, I know, Christmas was over a month ago & I'm just now posting... It was pretty quiet around here; it was our first Christmas not in CA ( Dr. did not want me to travel in case I went into labor; see how well that worked out?). On Christmas Eve we went for a night walk to look at lights, had hot chocolate, books & movies , and let Ryan pick out one present to open . Ryan was thrilled on Christmas morning to discover that Santa had brought her a bike. I was impressed that on her second try on the bike she was peddling & steering like a pro. I realized that we can't bring Ryan shopping with us next year; this year while at Target in Dec. we threw some stuff in the cart for Christmas and when I told Ryan on Christmas morning "look what Santa brought you" she said "no, mommy bought that at Target" Oops.

Gingerbread storytime & cookie

Ryan is a big fan of gingerbread cookies so we went to the library for a special reading of "The Gingerbread Man" followed by cookie decorating & eating. I was the only mommy that let my child decorate the cookie all by herself~ but Ryan was so proud of her creation and so was I ( even if she put the gingerbread man's eyes on his feet ) It's the creativity that counts!

Christmas tree

Ryan loved picking out & decorating the Christmas Tree this year. She especially likes the lights and her painted ornaments that she made for the tree.

Christmas in the Park

We went to Litchfield Park's Christmas in the Park this weekend. Ryan got to play in snow for the first time & she also enjoyed riding a pony.

Thanksgiving

Auntie Jenny, Uncle Sadri, Cousin Mattie & Granma Baker came out to visit us for Thanksgiving this year! Ryan had so much fun with her " cousin friend".
We went to gymnastics, the park, Children's Museum, and a Holiday Lights Parade. Ryan & Mattie especially loved eating their Thanksgiving feast at their very own kids table. Happy Thanksgiving!
