We are now officially a family of four! Samantha Adeline arrived on her due date (how punctual!) Feb. 5th, 2010 at 6:16 p.m. She weighed 7lbs.6oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long.
Last weekend Ryan and I went to a princess party @ the Disney Store where she dressed up & learned to be a princess. Her favorite part was learning to wave like a princess, which she has been practicing all week saying "elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist"
Ryan loves the bike that she got for Christmas. She would ride it all day if we let her, but she is too fast for me so usually she goes out with Daddy.
My back has been hurting really bad for the past month, so I have been using a heating pad a lot. The first few times Ryan told me that she needed it, i thought it was pretty cute. Then she turned into a heating pad monster... If i get it out when she is awake, she actually cries (real tears)to use it and if I say that i need it, she cries "my back is hurting, i need to use the heating pad" over and over again.
I know, I know, Christmas was over a month ago & I'm just now posting... It was pretty quiet around here; it was our first Christmas not in CA ( Dr. did not want me to travel in case I went into labor; see how well that worked out?). On Christmas Eve we went for a night walk to look at lights, had hot chocolate, books & movies , and let Ryan pick out one present to open . Ryan was thrilled on Christmas morning to discover that Santa had brought her a bike. I was impressed that on her second try on the bike she was peddling & steering like a pro. I realized that we can't bring Ryan shopping with us next year; this year while at Target in Dec. we threw some stuff in the cart for Christmas and when I told Ryan on Christmas morning "look what Santa brought you" she said "no, mommy bought that at Target" Oops.
